Trade via Talos
If you already use Talos as your trading platform, you can access XFX liquidity directly through the Talos UI or API — without building a direct integration with XFX.
This guide walks you through how to get set up and start trading with XFX on Talos.
How it works
XFX is available as a dealer on the Talos Provider Network. Once onboarded and credentialed, you can request quotes, execute trades, and manage orders through Talos — just as you would with any other liquidity provider.
- Pricing, liquidity, and trading hours are the same as trading via the XFX API
- Settlement follows the same Delivery-versus-Payment model
- Supported currency pairs and minimums are listed in Supported Currencies
The only difference is how you connect — instead of integrating directly with XFX APIs, you trade through Talos and XFX handles pricing, execution, and settlement behind the scenes.
Step 1: Complete onboarding with XFX
Before you can trade via Talos, you must be onboarded as an XFX customer. During onboarding, XFX will:
- Collect business information and complete KYB (Know Your Business) checks
- Provision your XFX account
- Set up your trading configuration (spreads, currency pairs, limits)
- Whitelist your settlement accounts as Trusted Accounts
Onboarding is required even if you already have a Talos account. XFX must approve you as a customer before you can access XFX liquidity on any platform.
To start onboarding, contact [email protected].
Step 2: Add XFX as a dealer credential in Talos
Once XFX confirms your onboarding is complete, you can add XFX as a liquidity provider in Talos.
- Log in to your Talos dashboard
- Navigate to Credentials (under your account or settings)
- Click Add Credential
- Select XFX from the dealer dropdown
- Enter the credential information provided by XFX during onboarding
- Save and confirm the connection
If you don't see XFX in the dealer dropdown, reach out to your Talos account team or contact XFX at [email protected] — we'll coordinate with Talos to enable the integration.
Step 3: Configure your trading setup
Once XFX is added as a credential, configure your Talos environment for trading:
Set up your symbols
- Go to your Talos trading dashboard
- Add the currency pairs you want to trade (e.g., USD/MXN, USDT/MXN, USD/USDT)
- These must match the Supported Currency Pairs available through XFX
Enable XFX as a Market Account
- In the New Order or RFQ form, you'll see available liquidity providers listed
- Enable XFX as a market account
- To trade exclusively with XFX, click the Only button next to XFX in the provider list
Step 4: Start trading
You can trade with XFX on Talos via the UI or the Talos API.
Trading via the Talos UI
- Open the New Order / RFQ form
- Select your currency pair and input the amount and side (BUY or SELL)
- Select XFX as the liquidity provider — or click on XFX's bid/offer price listed below the provider name
- Submit the order
- Track your order in the Orders Blotter — view executed, cancelled, or expired orders and review order history for specific time periods
Trading via the Talos API
- Submit orders programmatically through the Talos API
- Specify XFX as the target market when routing orders
Step 5: Settlement
Settlement follows the same process as trading directly with XFX:
- Execute a trade — the order becomes a transaction awaiting settlement
- Send your deposit to XFX settlement details (available in the XFX web dashboard)
- Include the transaction ID in your payment reference for automatic matching
- Payout is triggered automatically once XFX detects and matches your deposit
For full details, see the Settlement Model.
Important:Use only accounts whitelisted as Trusted Accounts with XFX. Deposits from non-whitelisted accounts will be rejected or delayed.
Monitoring and reconciliation
You have two options for tracking your trades:
| Talos | XFX | |
|---|---|---|
| Order tracking | Orders Blotter — real-time order status, history, and filters | XFX web dashboard — transaction reporting and status |
| Post-trade analytics | Strategy performance, slippage benchmarks (Arrival Price, VWAP, TWAP) | Transaction-level settlement tracking |
| Reconciliation | Trade-level blotter exports | Settlement confirmations and deposit matching |
We recommend using Talos for day-to-day order management and the XFX dashboard for settlement tracking, reporting and reconciliation.
